					<description>Networking does take some effort to make it work. It doesn't just happen overnight with no input from you. I think that is one of the biggest misconceptions about this new wave of online professional networking. Just because you don't have to go to a bunch of events you don't want to go to, doesn't mean that you can just throw your name on a professional network and expect to gain a lot of rewards.

It does take time to build a solid professional network, but the online tools do help.
