Is business networking the best way?

Just a couple of questions for you today.

If you’re using business networking as the main (or only) way to market your business,

  • How did you choose this method? Based on what factors?
  • Is it the most effective method, given the nature of your business? What makes you say this?

I find that many people are frustrated with their networking efforts.

    Networking is the most effective way to market my particiular business (I’m a Personal Consultant. I work with Women’s Sexual Health and Well-Being). Not to mention, I love socializing and meeting people. I’ve gotten quite a bit of business from networking. Word of mouth is the best publicity for my line of business. It’s not just about who I know, but who knows me. And, the more natural and conversational, as oppose to commercial, sales-pitching, I am the better it is for me to build relationships. It’s all about relationship networking.
